This stitch, when sewn with black thread on a white background, looks like the tips of ermine tails. It can be used as a filling stitch or as a border stitch.

To make this stitch, sew Straight Stitches in the following order : up at A, down at B, up at C, down at D, up at E, down at F.

You can also close the gap between the stitches for a more solid look.
