This stitch is made
just like the Outline Stitch, but with the needle
slanted a little bit. The line of stitches is a bit thicker
that with a regular Outline Stitch.
Take care that the stitch lie right next to each other,
with no fabric showing between them, just as in the Satin Stitch. If you want to raise the
stitches, lay a foundation of Basting Stitches along the stitching
line, and stitch the Slanted Outline Stitch around it.
This is a popular stitch for Whitework Embroidery. |
