In Smocking, the equivalent stitch
to the Chevron Stitch is the Baby Wave. When
it is stitched between half-space rows, it makes a
lovely small row, especially pretty on baby garments.
To make this stitch, alternate a Cable Stitch with a single Trellis Stitch. Make sure that the
Cable Stitches line up on the row. Each stitch uses
one old pleat and picks up one new pleat.
